The “5.12 Earthquake Relief Memorial Hall,” with investments from the Chengdu Municipal Government, officially opened in Anren Town of Dayi County, also known as the museum town of China, on May 11. This is the only established and open large-scale memorial hall for earthquake relief in China. The memorial hall covers an area of 14,000 square meters and its construction area stood at 8,508 square meters. It is equipped with a theme gallery, an earthquake science hall and a temporary exhibition hall.
